Race time! Ash and I ran the "R Baby" 4-mile charity run in Central Park this morning. Unfortunately, the conditions were less than ideal. Winds were gusting to 30 mph!! We went out and gave it a good shot anyway. I tried to go out and give an even effort.
Mile 1 = 5:30
Mile 2 = 5:30
Mile 3 = 5:51
Mile 4 = 5:30
Mile 3 is almost completely uphill. i was pleased with the effort. i finished 10th overall out of more than 4,500 runners and 3rd in my age group. I was happy with my run, plus I set a new P.R. of 22:21 (Old P.R. 22:48 set in September 2009). It was a great race, despite the weather.
