favorite people are tucked in bed, its time to run. I got 9 miles in tonight, heading down to Chelsea on the West Side Highway. I had fun scaring tourists as I sped past them with very quiet footsteps in the dark. Some jumped and screamed. I love it!!!!! BUwahahhahah (evil laugh). Take that.....that's what you get for clogging up my park!!

Midnight 7 Miles
Actually, past midnight. Doing my best to squeeze in a run, i ran the transverses under the park because Central Park closes at 1 am, and i was out a little later. Good solid easy run. Time for a little sleep.

Hill repeats
Tonight I did 8 x 1/4 mile hill repeats with 1/4 mile easy pace in between. I managed to run the uphills around a 5:20 pace. I totaled about 7 miles. Feeling much better than yesterday

Case of the Dizzies
I had trouble just seeing straight on my run tonight. I don't know what was bothering me, but I cut the run at 4 miles. Time to get some rest.

12 mile Interval/Long run in one
I went out for a long run today and added a small track workout in the middle. I first ran 5 miles to the track in Harlem, then ran: 1200m - 3:58, 800m - 2:42, 400m - 1:18, 1200m - 3:59. Then, i did a 4 mile run home with miles in the 6:30's. It was a nice solid effort, taking advantage of my days off!

Run for City Parks 4 mile race
I've had a tough past 3 weeks, and my milage has almost been non-existant. So, today's race, i wanted to just run a 23:00 for 4 miles, which is 5:45 per mile. I started off under control, roling through the first mile in 5:35, and covering mile 2 in 5:31. At this point, i was on pace eclipse my 4 mile PR by 10 seconds. But, mile 3 totally killed me (It is almost completely uphill) and i clocked a 6:14. I did, however, pull it together, and mustered a 5:39 for the final mile, finishing in a time of 22:59 and taking 13th place. This was good enough to earn me 2nd place in my age group. Hopefully this will jumpstart my running, and help me shake off this funk.
